NEW YORK, February 1, 2010--The Wayfinder Experience, headquartered in Kingston, NY, is undergoing major corporate restructuring by ceasing it's operations in the San Francisco, California and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania regional branches. This change comes after careful deliberation by the Wayfinder Experience Executive Board, which concluded that it is in the best interest of all involved parties to terminate any and all relationships between and among these regional branches. Since its creation in 2002, the Wayfinder Experience has grown from a summer camp into a year round program with an established presence in three states. After a fiscal and operational evaluation , The Wayfinder Experience has determined that downsizing operations and programming to only those that remain essential to the mission of the company, which can be directly overseen by its headquarters, is in the best interest of both the company and its clients. The Wayfinder Experience is winding down all operations in the San Francisco and Philadelphia locations, and is no longer engaged in any supervisory, fiscal, legal, or personnel capacity with any organizations or persons that continue to run similar programming there. Specifically, information about Philadelphia and/or San Francisco programming will not be made available or advertised on the Wayfinder Experience website, nor will such information be available through or from the Wayfinder office. THE Wayfinder Experience will continue TO OFFER a quality product/experience in New York on a size and scale that is appropriate, manageable, and fiscally responsible for our current capacity. In the event that San Francisco, California and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania elect to operate independently, The Wayfinder Experience wishes these new companies good luck. The Wayfinder Experience, created in 2002 continues to strive to engage the hearts, minds, and imaginations of children and youth through mythos, storytelling, sports, and theatrical outdoor adventure experiences.
