my understanding is the situation where a cleric dispels a mages dispel does not work as the dispel cancels the magic and isn't a lasting effect therefor nothing is left to dispel

My favorite thing about the new magic system is how much it supports roleplaying!  There are so many options now and I feel like the spells or skills you choose can accurately reflect what makes sense for your character.

Also, I love that rogues get their skills back if they spend time gambling. Wink

Love,
Gen

God I've been gone too long. Wish I could be there, I really need to sit down with someone to discuss this.
I heard something about two classifications of mage spells. Something about "force spells" that can't be interrupted?
Visual learner. I have to see it in action.

My favorite part is the pyromancer infinite damage bolt cheat for the mages.

Mage Force spells are instant power words that we've pretty much had in the semi-system for ages. The force spells are things like Disarm, Knockdown, Stun, Repulsion and the like.

Warriors- Now have wings, are able to eat souls and can become invisible. For Free.

Well, no....The new system officially has Mages, Warriors, Clerics, Artisans and Rogues as official classes. However, each class (Except Warriors) can pick up what are called "Variants." These are powerful ways to spend points that more or less alter the fundamental way a class works. For example, a Artisan can pick up "Runemaster" as a variant. This allows them to draw runes instead of making physical trinkets. Additionally, a Rogue could pick up "Sniper," I believe the name is, and get a blowgun to use in addition to their dagger. Many of these abilities and weapon types are also determined by the current game as well. Perhaps at this one every warrior gets a shield while at another, they have the option to drop the sword for a bow and arrows.

Look. All you need to know is that Artisans are the best class and God only knows why anyone would want to play anything else.
